This article analyzes the marked polarization that characterizes the Peruvian society and the conflicting positions between business interests and the fears of becoming a very statist nation; as well as the isolated and aloof position of the Government in relation to other socio-economic players. In this context, political movements are particularly important due to the huge impact they have on the decisions related to the public and regulatory policies and investments.
