Panama: the first hundred days of Juan Carlos Varela

After his first hundred days in office, Juan Carlos Varela still has a sound 80% popularity according to the latest opinion polls.

The opposition and the government are increasingly dialoguing and both the President and his Cabinet have been clear in their willingness to implement a form of governance in which the politician becomes a public servant. During this time, it has been confirmed that the President’s proposal is focused on the demand of social justice and that is precisely the reason for which citizens have high expectations.
