In a complex political, economic and social context in Latin America, the 7th Summit of the Americas, which will be held in Panama on April 10 and 11, 2015 is particularly important as the forum seeks to restore inter-American relations.

The importance of this forum as a meeting opportunity for the presidents of all Western Republics cannot be denied. Thus, it is the best possible scenario for dialogue, especially this year, since Cuba will attend; the most noticeable change compared to previous editions.

This report analyses the background, content and objectives of the 7th Summit of the Americas in Panama, highlighting the attendance of Cuba and the impact it might have on the current-future management of inter-American relations.

It also points out the importance of creating and implementing a common agenda as a strategic plan for all governments.
