Cuba is experiencing a historic transformation that will probably shape the future of the country. The opening of the country´s economic and external relations, its evolving institutional situation and an economy aiming to become more dynamic and open to foreign investment are elements that offer new business opportunities in the island. Many countries and sectors have set their sights on Cuba.
Moreover, Cuba has a close relationship with the Latin American region and its companies, which could be very fruitful in the future.
This issue of UNO magazine brings together different viewpoints on this new phase of the Cuban country; it addresses political, economic and social issues that will be crucial for the country´s evolution in the forthcoming years. The aim is to provide an overview of the perspectives for the Cuban´s future and the country´s role in the regional and international scene.
